Mother's Day in Australia. We spent the afternoon down at Lake Daylesford. Although it's only a ten-minute walk from our house, we haven't been there for a while. It looks stunning at this time of year, and we found some beautiful, highly-poisonous funghi.

I love to look at mushrooms and toadstools, there is definitely something magical about them!

We had a picnic of egg sandwiches from the local free range eggs we bought at Kyneton Farmers' Market yesterday, they were delicious. The few crumbs left over were fed to the ducks on the lake.

A very special day!

Hi,
I just ran across your blog. I have to say, I have never seen a fairytale mushroom before. The red one, with the dots.
That is so cool. We have boring brown looking wild mushrooms here.
Glad I found you.

What a lovely day Allison. Being a mummy is the best thing in the world isn't it?
