I am a huge fan and collector of vintage Ladybird books, so I'm delighted with this new book that has just arrived from from the UK. It's published by Penguin.

It's a giant tome, packed with gorgeous illustrations and lots of stuff about childhood, mmm, can't wait to read it all. I remember making this when I was little.

Oohhhh, anything with cowboys, love it!! I also remember making the spinning card. Oh, my mother used to teach us how to play with conchers (konkers, not sure of the spelling) but geesh, we used to whack each other with those things when we visited England!! Oh, my knuckles!! Love Posie

Looks lovely, is it? Did you read Libby Purves' scathing review in The Times. She has a real hatred for Ladybird Books!
