IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN DAYLESFORD!

It is raining for the first time in ages. The water tank is full. Autumn will be here soon, my favourite season.

I received my Brownie pack in the mail and I feel like a young girl again!

My kitchen smells amazing. Paul has been making Pain Viennois, a delicious bread that is someway between brioche and a criossant. He fills some of the batons with chunks of dark Lindt chocolate to give to our kids when they come home from school and kinder. The rest have been wrapped by me and tied with baker's twine, ready to be given out to friends, who will no doubt exchange them for some fresh eggs or veggies from their gardens.

Mmm, it's a beautiful day today...

Yum! I'm really hungry now. Time for late lunch.
Never mind about the top.

The rain is delicious. Autumn is my favourite season also.

I wish you lived closes so I could swap some of my veges and eggs for those treats. My tummy is grumbling for them.

What a life!! Swapping goodies for goodies, coming home from kinder to find chocolate Pain Viennois baking in your own kitchen! Finding beautiful roses in bloom in your garden and a water tank almost full!!

OOohhh *daydreaming moment* can I come and live at your house!

Me too....
Tres french, we eat slabs of chocolate in pain au lait all the time here! That's why I spend my life in water! I make my own waffles and crepes but might have a go at the pain xx
