We have just had a new leadlight panel fitted into our formerly drab front door. It looks amazing. It was handmade for us by Alice's Glassworks. If you are in Melbourne or country Victoria and looking for a stained glass artist I can highly recommend their work.

I'm a huge fan of stained glass - I loved looking through all of Cherie's samples, noting the differences in textures, tones and colours. This pic below is from our last home, in the UK, which had original Victorian glass in all of the rooms, it was very beautiful.

Oh Allison, as always a beautiful & colourful blog!! Love the banner you made, i created a blue & white kind of thing for Canberra's Handmade UpMarket. So simple, effective, good use of scrap fabrics & well - the whole point of what we do - recylce, reuse & handmade. Snaps to us hey. Your new window is lovely. How about the produce you're getting from the garden. We thought about growing our own here in Canberra but the weather is quite harsh & we're moving to Brisbane in 12 months, we can wait & do it properly. The enormous Aero bin compost/ tardis is working a treat, i will hate to abandon the compost we've created to start from scratch again, ho hum, such is the life of the Army wife, always moving. Have a fantastic end to the year & fantastic to be friends & doing business as always - the toadstalls are too sweet, a real hit with adults & babies alike. Love to all your boys, Posie

and the most wonderful thing about stained glass is that it's much more forgiving than blank clear glass. you don't have to wash your windows so often! Hurrah to that! Great door light! t.x
