Having said that, I hesitated for ages because I didn't feel that our house is anything special, and I didn't want to appear a 'show pony', I'm pretty shy believe it or not!
But friends persuaded me that it would be a nice thing to have for our kids to look at in the future, and also that it would be good promotion for Lark and our new shop, so I decided to to it. I needn't have worried really, as it was a great experience. Lisa and Leesa (the photographer and stylist) were so lovely and amazing, they spent the whole day at our place and didn't go home until it was dark, loaded with cake and Lark goodies. It was a lot of fun. Two weeks later I did the interview with Victoria Imhoff, who lives near Daylesford and is really passionate about our region, it was really interesting chatting to her.
So I'm pleased with how the article came out, especially the photos (believe me, our house is not ever this tidy or clean!!). Let me know what you think!

Well, from what I can see, without actually reading the magazine, your house looks wonderful!!! Wise decision to say yes to the feature and to the move to Australia...
eeek, Just so long as you don't expect mine to look like this tonight !!!
I hope today goes well Allison.
I bought the mag yesterday but I haven't had time for a proper look. From my quick peek it all looks lovely. Well done!
I have read your article and I am SO envious of your house!! Your move to Daylseford is very inspiring, and I cant wait to come and visit your shop when we head your way in November!
I'll have to go out and buy the magazine.
Love the photo of you and the kids at the table with the cake
Alison
Same here Jodie!!!
One day the craft meet will be at our place.....we have work to do!!
Your home looks lovely : ) Congratulations on the feature!
Lunch time reading is sorted.
Hello Allison, I couldn't go out yesterday as it was too dusty in Sydney to buy the mag so grabbed my copy today. It is totally fab. Your house looked wonderful with heaps of character, whimsy, beauty and charm. My four year old daughter kept going to look at the toys and she is in love with the Noddy egg cup. I know it's hard to forsake privacy and you do feel exposed but I'm so glad that you did it! I hope you do Inside Out now! It was interesting to read more about your life in England. You may well start a huge tree change to Daylesford from the UK now! xx
ps and thanks for saying it's not normally that tidy as I was wondering when I was reading it if you have some superwoman secret with the two boys home you could share.
It looks fantastic. Wish I could get a copy but I'm not sure it will make it to the UK? I see American magazines but don't think I've seen any from Oz.

Your home is so very special and I think it is beautiful. I would like to occupy a spare room if you have one handy. :)
I can't wait to buy a copy.

I purchase this magazine every month & I was secretly waiting for the moment for you to appear within its pages. Your home looks gorgeous & the beauty of it, is that it isn't at all pretentious. It's just a much loved & lived in home by a wonderful family.
I have been buying a country style for about 7 years now and only just recently stopped as the homes were all looking to "out of one's reach"
so glad they are getting back to real country homes with real families...
Will be buying a copy now and hope that this is the start of a more down to earth look for the mag that they use to have...
Thanks for sharing your lovely pics...
The oil can planters are gorgeous - I think Im going to pinch that idea.
Can't wait to have a look Alison, at the shop and the mag!
I raced out and bought it yesterday - your home looks beautiful! Your family look beautiful! I must go change my entire house around now x

Congratulations, your home looks lovely.
i'll be to buying a copy just to read your homes article.
I've been trying to break my magazine addiction but think it's time to fall off the wagon. I'll buy Country Style tomorrow. It's a dream of mine to one day appear on its' pages, and wonderful to see someone I've been following (secretly from afar in blogland) featured. And yes, I always wondered how those photos make houses look so very neat - maybe having 4 children at home as I do would be impossible to overcome, tidyness wise! Well done, and I love the look of your new shop.
its bloody lovely.. can i move in ?
It all looks lovely! Can't wait to get my Country Style and have a closer look.
This is amazaing! Congratulations!! You should feel proud of your beautiful house. I especially love the doilies on the wall! Great idea. I want to move in...:)
