For some weeks now, six to be exact, I have been trying to lose some weight. Until I was 30 I was fairly average, not skinny, but just a bit curvy. Then, after having two very large babies, my weight shot up. I lost a bit but not much, and once my boys stopped being toddlers and I was sitting at a desk or sewing machine all day I found it just starting to creep up on me even more. It doesn't help that we are all foodies in our family, we love to cook and eat, and my husband is one of those people who can eat as much as they want and never gain weight. So I joined WeightWatchers. I was a bit sceptical of something so 'branded', but actually it has been brilliant. I've still been eating all of my favourite foods, just a bit more sensibly. The support of the lovely women in my weekly group has been a real help and has kept me motivated. Today everyone cheered for me because I've lost SIX KILOS. In six weeks. I still have a long way to go but I am really proud of myself and I already feel much more energetic. And it's the first sunny day in ages today. Yay!

Hurrah! More cheers over here too! Congratulations on the -6, bravo!
I have always lost on WW, as long as I stick with it. I am doing WW at home now & have lost 10kg so far, have been a bit slack lately but you've inspired me to stop messing about! :D
Good for you!
Well done! Congratulations :)
Hip hip hooray for you. Six kilos is a brilliant start. A kilo per week.
Weight watchers really is good, good at changing habits and because you have to cook it rather than open pre-cooked food it is better habit forming. Good luck! we love the weight watchers Mango Chicken Curry, we still cook it ... 8+ years after we did it
yay - good on you. I am on a similar path. There comes a time when you just need to do something doesn't there?
Well done - and even better for being so brave to post it online. I have to ensure that I make time for it and realise it is a priority in life and feeling happy and healthy will flow on to all aspects of your life.
Now - walking booked in for tomorrow.
Good for you, Allison! I have the same problem after my daughter. Years of broken sleep and being so often at a computer has really taken its toll on my weight. Well done and I'm sure you will be healthier as a result. xx
Yay well done Allison! brilliant achievement,
Sarah x
Congratulations...
that is a fantastic effort, you should be so proud of yourself! I hope you have a lot more energy to do fun things
Good for you!
Good for you! I've very recently got back to exercising after having my children, and I'm managing bikram's yoga three times a week now. So good to get my creaky, post-baby (and twins!) body back into stretching and twisting. I wish you all the very best with your weight watchers journey, so good to give yourself the support of that group.
Well done Allison, I think I might have to follow your footsteps
How wonderful! Good for you!
