Le Weekend

Managed to escape from Daylesford for a weekend (I know, most people do the opposite, but when you live here it is nice to escape sometimes). Spent two days in Melbourne doing all the things I like best: seeing friends, eating Lebanese food, shopping, hanging out with my kids etc. The Sisters Market was ok, not as busy as usual because it was just children's goods, but I did ok and it was great to see other market girls like Dana, Annie, Maria, Kirsty and Michelle (from whom I bought the lovely crochet items above). Thanks for the talk, Michelle!

Today I went to Camberwell Market, enjoyed just walking around and only bought a few rolls of vintage wallpaper. Later I did some more shopping and bought this pretty dress. I think it is a nightie but i have every intention of wearing it as a dress.

I also bought 'The Crafty Minx' by Kelly Doust. I haven't read it yet, I liked it because it is pretty and crafty and Australian. You can find Kelly's blog here.

It was a highlight of my market day to catch up with you! I'm glad you like your goodies and I hope it doesn't take too long to catch up again! All the best, Michelle

Oh Alison - you bought that roll of wallpaper right opposite my stall today at Camberwell.... I though it was you but was not quite sure! Your spotty dressed matched my table cloth.

Hello Allison
I was at Camberwell market and was very happy to find a large tapestry (to make into patchwork cushions somehow) and some "almost" Liberty, plenty for a dress. I hope you enjoyed your day too. How did I miss that wallpaper?! But I really do have enough already.
Thank you for your inspiring blog and all the good things of Lark.
