I've been meaning to post this for ages - a couple of months back I dollied up one of the old Victorian sheds in our garden to make a little craft room/retreat. The shed was very tatty inside, with pressed tin walls painted a dark greeny blue (yuck). So I lightened it all up with the much-loved Dulux Antique White USA, painted the little door and window in my favourite blue (Lovely by Haymes) and voila! Now I have a little space of my own, and I love it.

As you can see, we kept lots of the old details, like the faded lino, and we found an old chandelier destined for the tip, which looks pretty cute I think! I bought the record player for $40 at the Daylesford Bazaar and it really works, with a crackly radio and everything. The vintage click-clack sofa was $60 from a junk shop and I made the Liberty cushions to freshen it up. Everything else I already had (including my Daisy Lane posters) so it was a pretty cheap and easy makeover but I think it has turned out well. x

Oh my goodness, it's a little piece of heaven! I don't think I'd ever come out..
Totally cute Allison, hope it is nice & warm in Winter & cool in Summer, or is that just a craft hideaway fantasy (like my studio which is only a nice temperture for about 2 months of the year!!) Happy crafting, love Posie
It's truly gorgeous and divine. Well done! The pressed tin is such a wonderful feature and everything else just sits so well together. You are so lucky! Surely when your boys hit their teens they will have other ideas for this shed?! I'm thinking drums and guitars and amps!
love the pressed tin walls-
I might just move in!
Love it, I want to move in! Adore the blue & white combo.
What a beautiful space to create in. It is all just lovely. I am glad you kept the old lino.
That is totally my dream room! I struggle with a stuffed craft cupboard at the moment...one day! Nice work - the pressed tin walls are gorgeous too.
It's amazing what a lick of paint can do to a shed! It looks wonderful and I love the mugs!
What an amazing creative space - it's just stunning. This is the first work space I think I have ever seen with a chandelier!
Looks FABBO!!!
Love it, those walls are divine.
Just gorgeous! Love the pressed tin, love the Daisy Lane pretties, and the Liberty cushions. Love everything! Inspiring!
What a perfect room. The pressed metal is just beautiful, a gorgeous little retreat!
Very inspiring space! What's that texture on the walls? Wallpaper? I love the great "sorting-out" cupboard
Gorgeous! X
Oh its so lovely, every corner is beautiful, I wouldn't get anything done in there, I would be quite happy just sat gazing at all its loveliness :) I especially love the little cream and blue shelf x
Squealing with delight...it's just lovely....I adore pressed tin...now I have a huge dose of shed envy!!!
That couch was $60! What legendary thrifting! What a lovely room.
wow - i don't think i would ever want to leave if my craft room looked like that!! i'm lucky i have a tiny tiny room in the house (think cupboard size, but at least it's something). i also love your mugs, are they Orla Keily? not sure i've spelt that right but i have bed linen in that same design and i love it!!! And that pressed metal is just heaven...enjoy whilst we all sit back in envy xx

I LOVE this! I just found your blog through some other wonderful fellow Melbourne mum blogs. I love your stuff and am very tempted to drive over there to check it out in person. Your little shed/retreat is divine, lovely to find you x

It looks like a very inviting space to work in - I am sure that you will have many moments of inspiration and fun in your new studio :)
too cute Allison! I dream of a space, it doesn't have to be as pretty as yours, but just somewhere with lots of dishracks and benches. haha.
