
Hurrah, May is my favourite month in Daylesford as we get to look at al the pretty mushrooms that spring up around the lake and forest. Most of these are very deadly. Except the pine or slippery jack mushroom. You can cook these up with garlic and they are delicious on toast. Mmm.

Last time I was up there I took some photos of the red & white dotty mushrooms to show my little girls. I told them that the this is where the fairies go for their holidays "Daylesford Lake" and they were so excited!

Wow i have never seen mushrooms like those before only in my fairy books when i was little those red and white ones are so pretty looking. And the little girl is so pretty love her little outfit. dee x
