This year for the first time my son designed two of the page layouts (he is only 10 but I am training him to work for Lark, hee hee). I wont tell you which ones he designed but they are two of my favourites, he has a very good eye!

Wowee!

I was totally stoked to find that Shop Til You Drop's editor's letter mentions Lark this month. Not just a mention either - Justine Cullen lists Lark as one of her 'all-time favourite go-tos when we need a housey fix'. Next to such amazing style leaders as Anthropologie and Etsy! Wowee, I don't know what to say, this is so lovely and it makes the occasional crappy workday worthwhile, just like when I receive a nice letter from one of our customers, or meet someone for the first time who has heard of Lark and loves our store.

Justine's letter is actually very interesting - it's all about how nesting is not just for new parents these days, but that most of us get just as excited by a new cushion as a new skirt. That's certainly true for me! I've hardly bought any new clothes this year, yet I have been very busy squirrelling away boxes and boxes of cute homey things for when we move house next month.

I also loved reading about the Yiddish word tchotchke, which apparently means "little bits of cuteness worth having''. Well, if that doesn't sum up what Lark is all about, I don't know what does!

Yay! This year we are combining our popular Lark warehouse sale with a giant garage sale - as we're moving house soon, I am having a VERY thorough de-stash. My friend Morgan Wills is joining me and we're both hoping you'll come along!

Grand Re-opening of the Lark Shop in Daylesford This Weekend!

Lark's Daylesford store is re-opening this Saturday for the autumn/winter season - when Daylesford is at its prettiest! Come visit any Saturday or Sunday from 10-4. You'll find new decor, new shop ladies, and best of all - new stuff. We have just finished restocking the store with many of the latest ranges, including our Easter collection, Belle & Boo's party, new Rice goodies and lots of new Rex homewares and toys. You'll even find a few products that aren't available online (shhh...).

If you visit the Daylesford shop this weekend, just say the magic words 'NEW STUFF' to receive a 10% DISCOUNT off all your purchases in the store. Myself, Caroline and Daisy will look forward to meeting you!

Big apologies to anyone who has wanted to visit while we were closed - the renovations took longer than expected due to the flooding. But the shop is now fully open and will hopefully be open every weekend until Xmas (Saturday only at Easter)! Go Lark!
